We collect the absolute minimum: your email address (for authentication) and the menu photographs you willingly scan.

2. How We Use It

Menu images are processed by our AI engine strictly to estimate pricing disparities. Your email secures your account and, if permitted, allows us to send a one-time "Log my Sip" follow-up.

3. Data Deletion

You can request the total deletion of your account and all associated scans at any time by emailing hello@savvysipper.wine.

4. Third-Party Processors

To extract data from wine lists in seconds, we securely transmit menu images to industry-leading third-party Artificial Intelligence providers for Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and text analysis. We also use secure, enterprise-grade cloud providers to host your account data. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.

5. Photography & Incidental Background Data

SavvySipper is designed to scan text, not people. We ask that users only photograph the physical menu document. Our system does not process, analyze, or store biometric data or facial recognition data. Any incidental background elements (such as other diners or venue staff) captured in your uploads are disregarded by our system and fall under our standard data deletion protocols.

6. Your UK GDPR Rights

Under UK law, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first at hello@savvysipper.wine so we can fix it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you feel we have mishandled your data.
